I wore these to a wedding and the opaque lower leg looked so much sharper than plain sheer tights. The layered effect is printed right in, so there's no bunching or extra waistband digging in. Honestly the contrast does all the work for you.

The sheer top half actually breathes, which I didn't expect from something that looks this opaque at the knee. Wore them under a short dress all evening and never once felt the need to tug at the waistband.
